FCCRS Rules & Guidelines
Age Classification
All members will compete based on their age as of September 30, 2025.
Membership & Fees

All FCCRS and High River Agricultural Society forms/waivers must be completed and fees paid before participating in any FCCRS event.

Proof of Agricultural Society membership is required.

Safety & Helmet Policy
-
Helmet rules follow High River Ag Society guidelines.
-
Rider safety and control are mandatory. Riders or parents who cannot control their mounts will be asked to dismount and leave the arena.

Riders may not be secured to the saddle in any way.
Staging Area Rules
-
No running in the staging area; riders must sit properly while mounted.

Parents must monitor their children while mounted.
-
No unattended horses. Extra horses must be tied at trailers until needed.
-
Horses that kick must wear red ribbons on their tails and be placed with hindquarters to a wall or tied outside.
Animal Welfare
-
Unnecessary roughness or animal abuse is strictly prohibited.

Offenders will be asked to leave immediately. Severe or repeated cases result in removal from the club.
Conduct & Bullying
-
Bullying of fellow members is not tolerated.

Parents bullying members or board members will also result in removal.
-
Removal from the club includes no financial reimbursement.
Event Rules & Governance
-
All events follow the rules posted on the FCCRS website.

When clarification is required, FCCRS will defer to High School Rodeo Rules (or closest equivalent).

A & B Groups will be determined by December 31, 2025 and will not be posted publicly.
Points, Awards & Participation
-
Awards and points are based on 7 regular-season runs plus finals.

Riders must ride with their own age group.
-
Missing your name being called or failing to enter the arena at the start of your run results in a no time.
-
To qualify for year-end awards, riders must attend more than 50% of events (e.g., 4 of 7 rodeos).
Steer Riding
-
Minimum age: 10
-
Cost: $25 per event, paid via e-transfer before the scheduled rodeo.

Riders must supply their own equipment: rope, helmet, and chest protection.
Live Breakaway Roping
-
Cost: $25 per event, paid via e-transfer no later than Wednesday at 5:00 pm before the rodeo.
-
All roping participants must attend the FCC roping clinic.
Weekly Entries
-
Open Monday–Wednesday at 10:00 pm before each scheduled rodeo.

Late entries incur a $50 per family fee. No exceptions.
Arena & Chute Safety
-
No jumping or running on the backs of chutes during timed events.
-
Offenders will be removed immediately; repeat offenses result in removal from the club with no reimbursement.
Board Authority
The Board reserves the right to determine what is appropriate and safe at any time during the season.
Fundraising
Every member is expected to participate in the and fundraising sales by selling a minimum number of tickets. Members can opt out fundraising by providing a cheque for $500.00 per at the time of registration. Please be aware that any member who fails to meet their fundraising obligation will not be eligible for year-end prizes.
Mandatory Volunteering
All members and parents are encouraged to volunteer at our events. We are seeking volunteers for various roles, including Flaggers, Set Up, Take Down Crew, Rakers, Goat Holders, Horse Holders for Goat Events, and Clean Crew. Your participation is essential for the success of FCCRS events, and we appreciate the support from all families! Thank you for helping us create memorable experiences.

Grievances
All grievances must be submitted in writing, via email at info@futurecowboysandcowgirls.com for review by the board of directors. The complaint will be addressed at the next board meeting.
